Emergency services,police tourists and the locals will have to come to terms with Durban's new street names. To avoid confusion the council will leave the old names up for a year or so to give all a chance to memorise the new names. For some the old ones will never die and no doubt the new lengthy ones will be abbreviated into local street speak. "The times they are a changing" sang one Bob Dylan in the sixties.

Keep it up, Mr Reid. We need a sence of humour and as many other views as possible to continue celebrating our fun lives here in the Bright Continent. That includes commie pinko bongo wongo afro-facist neo-liberal reactionary intellectual activist black consciousness supremist Obama supporting apolitical buddhists and Prynne.
I now get very lost in my own city, because I don't travel there often enough to gt used to these new names.
I believe there are other creative alternatives to this useless costly affair!
